Religious Education Director

Job Duties:

Develop and direct the religious education programs and activities conducted at the organization’s branch mosques including the Hifz (Quran Memorization) and Quran classes; select appropriate curricula and class structures for the Hifz and Quran classes; plan and conduct seminars and conferences dealing with the interpretation of Islamic values and principles; implement program plans by ordering needed materials, scheduling speakers and handling other administrative details; collaborate with the organization’s religious workers at its branch mosques to establish goals and objectives for the Hifz and Quran classes; analyze member participation and changes in congregational emphasis to determine needs for religious education; plan fundraising activities for the organization’s branch mosques.

Requirements:

Position requires High School/GED diploma, or foreign equivalent, and at least 24 months of training in Hifz (Quran Memorization). Position also requires at least 6 months of experience in the job offered or in the alternate occupation of Community Services Manager or Operations Manager. Position requires only little domestic travel to unanticipated locations throughout the United States. Travel will constitute 10% of the employee’s work time.

Salary:

$52,000.00 / year
