Establishment and History: With the support of the Diyanet Center and the community of Meskhetian Turks, the mosque opened for worship in 2015. It was converted from a building previously belonging to an electricity company. The building was transformed into a center where the community could perform their religious duties and carry out their religious and national activities.<\/p>

Past Officials: The mosque's first imam, Abdullah Hoca, was appointed for a long-term position, but visa issues prevented him from continuing. Following him, \u0130brahim Hoca, Fatih Hoca, and Bilal Hoca served as imams for periods of time. Metin Yal\u00e7\u0131n Hoca then served on a long-term basis until the summer of 2022. Presidents: Elman, \u0130brahim, S\u00fcleyman, \u0130brahim Kemalov, Kamil N\u00fcferov, and Tevfik Kadyrov, all Meskhetian Turks, served as presidents of the mosque's association.<\/p>

Current Officers: As of March 2023, Esat Ta\u015f Hoca holds the post of imam. Historical Background and Social Process: The United States accepted the Meskhetian Turks from Russia in 2005. This community, which was subjected to two major deportations in 1944 and 1989, quickly adapted to their new settlement areas and developed economically, socially and culturally despite the difficulties they faced. The Meskhetian Turks who immigrated to the United States after 2005 scattered to different regions of the country but faced various challenges due to language and cultural differences. Over time, community members who came together acquired residences in the same neighborhoods and cities, strengthening their social solidarity. Meskhetian Turks in Atlanta overcame this process more easily with the support of Muslims of Turkish origin who had previously settled in the region. Before 2015, community members rented temporary spaces to perform their worship during special periods such as religious holidays and Ramadan; However, with the support of the Diyanet Center and the community, the mosque officially began operating in 2015.<\/p>

Target Audience: The association responsible for the mosque's management consists entirely of Meskhetian Turks, and its funding is provided by contributions from its members. While the majority of the congregation consists of Meskhetian Turks, a small portion consists of Muslims of Turkish origin and individuals of other nationalities. Current Status and Activities: In addition to the daily prayers, the mosque offers worship services with a congregation of 60 to 100 people during Friday prayers. Quran lessons are held on weekends, and various programs are organized on holy nights (kandil) and other religious holidays. In addition, activities are held for students and young people, and volunteer educators, consisting of Meskhetian women, provide support for the religious education of children, in addition to official duties. The lower floor of the mosque is actively used during Ramadan and other important days and nights. The mosque also has a sports field, allowing for sports activities such as wrestling. The lower floor is also used for events such as circumcisions and weddings, making the mosque a hub beyond religious activities.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
