Ah\u0131skan Turkish Community Center is located in the Charlotte Region of North Carolina in the United States.<\/p>

The association was founded under the chairmanship of Osman Salayev to serve our community and keep national and spiritual values alive.<\/p>

The Ah\u0131skan Turkish Community Center Mosque opened in 2015 after purchasing a building. The Presidency of Religious Affairs provided 500,000 $ in aid for the mosque's opening. Osman Salayev serves as president of associations in both Portland and Charlotte. The funds were split in half to ensure the opening of both mosques and to encourage active contributions from people in both regions.<\/p>

The Charlotte Ahiskan Turks Center, located on a 7,730-acre site, includes a mosque, outbuildings, and lodging. There is also parking for 180 vehicles. Men's and women's restrooms are available for religious use.<\/p>

While the mosque originally held Friday prayers in a space that seated approximately 30 people, expansions now allow approximately 200 people to line up inside. Including those outside, a total of 300 people can perform Friday prayers. During Eid prayers, this number reaches nearly 600.<\/p>

The mosque is open five times a day and prayers are performed in congregation.<\/p>

Instructors on Duty<\/h1>

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

  1. Eid Male<\/strong>Bayram Hoca, the first teacher of the mosque, served for approximately two years between 2015 and 2017.<\/li>
  2. Ahmet Efeo\u011flu<\/strong>, He served between 2019 and 2020.<\/li>
  3. Sukru Ugurlu<\/strong>He served in 2021. \u015e\u00fckr\u00fc Hoca, who returned to his homeland upon completion of his term, died of a heart attack in January 2023. A program was held at the mosque to support his family and the money collected was sent to the late hoca's family.<\/li>
  4. Saban Onat<\/strong>, served in 2022.<\/li>
  5. Yakup Kans\u0131zo\u011flu<\/strong>He served during Ramadan in 2022.<\/li>
  6. Re\u015fat<\/strong> Tank<\/strong>He took office on September 4, 2023. He is still in office.<\/li><\/ol>

    Mosque Activities<\/h1>

    \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

    The mosque offers five daily prayers. An average of 20 people attend the morning and night prayers, and an average of 3 attend the other prayers.<\/p>

    As part of our youth services, we periodically organize events to meet with young people. We also provide training to prepare young people for their national and spiritual future.<\/p>

    Quran and Basic Religious Knowledge classes are given to children (boys and girls) two days a week, on Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>

    Summer Quran Courses continue throughout the summer holidays and are well-attended. At the end of the semester, various celebrations are held.<\/p>

    In order to raise awareness among the Muslim community, exams are held periodically with prizes based on books containing authentic religious information.<\/p>

    Within the scope of services for adults, classes are held once a week for women and every evening for men at the mosque between the Maghrib and Isha prayer times.<\/p>

    Once a week, religious studies classes are held as part of the Friday Night program. In 2024, a Ramadan tent was set up and iftar meals were served. This service<\/p>

    continues in the following year.<\/p>

    Cultural meals are served every week after Friday prayers. This service is sometimes provided by benefactors and sometimes by the association.<\/p>

    Festivities are organized during holidays to strengthen unity and solidarity among the community.<\/p>

    The association handles funeral arrangements for deceased citizens using local authorities and resources. The mosque also occasionally hosts Quran recitations and prayers for deceased loved ones. This commemorates the grief of the bereaved.<\/p>

    By offering wedding prayers to the young people of our community who have decided to get married and to other co-religionists, we are with them on their happy days and share their joy.<\/p>

    The mosque provides all the necessary services to fulfill the religious obligations of the Muslim community in the region.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
